Contact Us
No form, no booking desk. The 21 walks listed here are run by independent local guides through GuruWalk and freetour.com, and every reservation happens on the guide's own page. What sits behind this page is a single email address, and mail that reaches it gets read. Corrections, additions and firm disagreements each get a reply in time; a short, specific message works best.
Some messages matter more than others. If a guide listed here has stopped showing up, or a meeting point on one of our pages no longer matches the GuruWalk listing, that correction protects every visitor who reads the page after you. Those notes come first.
- Guides adjust their walks constantly. A start time slides, a meeting point shifts across the square, a stop gets cut or a new guide takes over a route. When something on this site stops matching what the guide actually runs, flag it and the page gets corrected. Since every walk is free to reserve and pay-what-you-want, there is no price on any page here that could go out of date.
- A walk that has shut down or changed beyond recognition. Perhaps its booking calendar emptied, perhaps the route no longer includes the Royal Palace, perhaps the guide switched languages entirely. Name the walk and describe what you found when you tried it. The listing gets checked against the GuruWalk or freetour.com page, and either the details here are corrected or the walk comes off the roster.
- Errors of fact are the messages that help most. If a page here says you can walk into the Templo de Debod without booking when the interior actually requires a timed reservation made in advance, or treats the Mirador Madrid rooftop as free when only the CentroCentro exhibitions inside the same building cost nothing, that page needs work. Free-entry hours at museums move often too. If a day we state no longer applies, name the museum and the day that does.
- A walk we have not caught yet. Madrid keeps producing pay-what-you-want guides, and no roster finds them all on its own. If you know of a genuine GuruWalk or freetour.com listing that is missing here, send the link and it gets the same look as everything already on the site. No guide pays for inclusion and none can buy a higher spot.
- Small corrections count too, whether a detail on the FAQ page is off or something in the guides deserves a closer look.

How A Message Is Handled
Errors get handled before anything else. A wrong meeting point or a start time that has drifted can cost a visitor their only free evening in Madrid, so a correction on a walk page jumps the queue. Broader questions sit longer, and some end up answered in a guide instead of a reply. There is no mailing list, and no address is shared with anyone.
Where The Line Sits
Nothing is bought or booked here. No spots are reserved, no tips are collected, no cancellations are processed, no payments of any kind pass through this site. Each of the 21 walks is listed by its guide on GuruWalk or freetour.com, and both the free reservation and any tip afterwards happen on that platform alone. Free Things To Do In Madrid lays out the walks, compares them and then steps out of the way. Questions about a live booking belong on the guide's own listing, where the reservation actually lives.
Already holding a spot? Start with the confirmation email, not with this page. It names the meeting point, the start time and the guide who runs the walk, and only that guide can move you to another time or sort out a late arrival. The walks listed here are run by operators like Trip Tours Madrid, Tourstilla and OgoTours, so questions about an existing reservation belong with them.
Two lines in that confirmation email deserve a careful read before you write to anyone. One is the meeting point: Madrid groups gather at specific plazas, statues and market entrances, and a vague description is how people end up waiting at the wrong end of a square. The other is the cancellation window, which varies from walk to walk. A free place is still a seat somebody else wanted, and releasing it late can leave it empty. On both points the guide's own listing is the authority.
Not ready to pick yet? Browse the six walk categories, from essential-madrid through retiro-and-parks, or read the guides for museums, parks and viewpoints that cost nothing to enter.
